A major setback to the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) initiative has resulted from a junior secondary term that was not used.
The Standard Publication asserts that junior secondary kids have less time to study because they are currently staying home rather than going to school.
On the other hand, there weren’t enough teachers in some schools, so some subjects weren’t even taught, and pupils didn’t learn anything. Lack of textbooks was another significant barrier that all students had to overcome in order to excel in their studies.
The first term’s storm of challenges, however, has been weathered by the students; how, then, is the government prepared to address the issues junior secondary and, in particular, the CBC Program are facing?
