The Teachers employer:Teachers service commission (TSC) was set to dispatch transfer letters for applicants and those who the commission finds credible reasons to facilitate their transfers even if they never requested for one.
This dispatch of transfer letters for both classroom teachers and school administrators were to be sent out in April 2022, according to TSC. The letters were to be available and ready to be picked by the intended teachers from various sub-county and county offices countrywide
School principals and heads are responsible for collecting and delivering transfer letters to their respective staff members.
TSC has configured and decentralized its transfer applications to an online platform. This is intended to make the service available for all teachers as well as saving on the time spent physically visiting the headquarters severally in pursuit of transfer information, this time can be constructively converted to production in class.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has succeeded in simplifying the once tedious exercise of the process of applying for a teacher transfer which initially was deemed too manual and bulky owing to the fact that form filling was the order of the day.
Since the onset of may,several teachers have received their transfer letters at various times and most can be seen clearing from their previous stations

Steps Followed When Requesting for an Online Transfer.
Visit the TSC online transfer application portal by way of the following link here:
https://hrmis.tsc.go.ke/tm-app/apply_transfer.
Enter your TSC number,national Identity card number , and cell phone number(phone contact) in the new window.
After clicking on the ‘Login,’ TSC will send you an email via the official email recognized by TSC, with your security number (a six-digit authorisation code).
Before logging in, enter the permission code that Is delivered to your mobile phone as a text message.you can as well wait to see if the devise can automatically detect and paste it or you manually enter the digits in the provided field
Then proceed and click ‘login.’
Upon successful login, the system is able to classify you into either primary or a post-primary teacher.
Then click the box next to the declaration
After entering all the details and checking the declaration box, click ’OK
The system will display your current station of work and the requested County.(where you wish to work)
Click ‘File Attachment(s)’ button to attach the required supporting document(s) in case the request for transfer is due to insecurity and/or medical grounds You can also Edit, Withdraw or Print the transfer request.
Press the browse provision to select the document to attach
Enter your Remarks
Check the dialogue box and Click “Ok” after attaching the document you wish to submit as support of your request.
Upon completion of these steps,Your attachment(s) will be displayed. You can either Remove or View your attachment or edit them at this stage before submission
If after proof-reading you are satisfied that the information you have provided is presented as intended,proceed to the next step and click the provision ” submit”
Once successfully delivered,your application status will indicate: “Pending”
