TSC has released schedule and roadmap for interviews for the upcoming teachers recruitment. The interviews will be conducted between Thursday of 22nd to Wednesday of 28nd, July 2021.
The whole exercise began on 29th of July when the vacancies were availed online and expected to be concluded by September 1st this year when the successful candidates report to their station.

July 29th, 2021 -Advertisement for Teaching Vacancies
From the latest advertisement from the commission on July 29th 2021 ,10,000 vacancies were advertised both in primary and secondary levels.
July 2nd, 2021.-Sensitization of Regional TSC Directors
On Friday 2nd July,2021 sensitization process was undergone by all the Teachers Service Commission Regional Directors . The directors were briefed in details how to manage the coming recruitment exercise.
June 29th to 12th July 2021.-Online Applications of Open Vacancies by Qualified Teachers.
Teacher service commission opened its online website on 29th of June to 12th of July 2021via the link https://hrmis.tsc.go.ke/app/login to allow interested and qualified teachers to offer their submission.
Note that after date 12 july,2021 no more application is required.
Friday July 16th, 2021-Collection of employment forms by County Directors
On 16th July 2021 all the TSC County Directors are required to collect the teachers employment forms for the vacant school slots in preparation for the interview dates.
Tuesday 13th July 2021 to 14th July 2021-Generation of Applicant’s Merit lists and Sending to Counties
Generation of applicant’s merit lists and sending to counties is an exercise that takes at most two days. Immediately after the online application lapses TSC starts to digital generating all the applicants’ merit lists by County. This lists are later sent to the relevant TSC county Director .
22nd to 28th July 2021.-The briefing, Vetting of Documents, Selection, and Interviewing Applicants
As from 22nd to 28th July 2021, the School Principals and administrators will undergo a briefing. This briefing exercise will incorporate the following members:
- TSC County Directors
- TSC Sub-County Directors
- Education Officers
- The School Principals.
Thereafter the briefing ,the vetting of teacher Applicants’ documents, Interviews, and the selection exercise commences immediately.
With the organization of each County specific dates and venues for document vetting, interviewing, and selection of qualified applicants both for Primary and Secondary Schools is set.
29th July 2021-Filling of TSC employment forms by successful candidates
This date 29th of July ,after interviewing exercise lapses Successful applicants starts filling in the TSC employment forms for the schools he/she emerged the winner.
29th July to 6th August 2021-Vetting and handling of complaints at County level
vetting and handling of any complaints arising kicks off for 5 days after the recruitment exercise. The process only takes place at the TSC County Directors with close supervision by the county commission.
Monday 9th to12th Thursday August-Receiving of documents at the TSC Headquarters
Document copies of Successful applicants, interview sheet and selection data files, and Employment forms are sent for verifications at TSC headquarters.
Friday 13th to Friday 27th August 2021-Verification of results at the TSC Headquarters
The verification of all the results from the recruitment exercise is undertaken at the TSC headquarters as from 13th to 27th of August 2021.
Wednesday 1st of September 2021-Reporting Dates of teachers to schools
candidates who will secure the jobs will be required to report to their places of work not late than the 1st of September 2021. However, they will be given a grace period of 21 days.
By September 31, 2021-Sending reporting status to TSC Headquarters by County Directors
The TSC County Directors will be required to send the details of successful candidates to the TSC headquarters by that date.
