SIRONGA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL’S BRIEF HISTORY
This is a national girls boarding secondary school located in Nyamira county, Kenya. The school was started in July 1968 by the then vice president Daniel Arap Moi as a harambee mixed school. The school became a girls only secondary school in 1990. It has since been producing amazing results, being one of the best secondary schools in Nyamira county and in Kenya at large.
Sironga girls school was promoted to national level in 2014.
The school has been nicknamed ‘Maroon palace’ because their uniform is maroon.
The school is founded on strong religious background, backed by the faith of the Adventists. There is no morning prep on Saturdays since they worship on this day

SIRONGA GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL’S KCSE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
The school has maintained a good run in performance at the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, exams.
In the 2014’s KCSE exam Sironga Girls High school recorded a mean score of 8.90 (B plain).which prompted its upgrade to national school level.
The school had a mean score of 9.7 (B+plus) the 2015 KCSE examination.
In the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, KCSE, exams the school featured in the list of top 200 schools nationally. This is after recording a mean score of 6.609 (C+ plus) with a candidature of 580.
In 2020 KCSE, Sironga Girls National school that is popularly known to many as maroon palace managed to post a mean of 8.209
