MINISTRY OF EDUCATION Office of the Principal Secretary, State Department for Basic Education released a circular dated 6th February,2023 to all County Directors of Education concerning school fees for Elimu scholars.
Here are details of the circular;
TO: COUNTY DIRECTORS OF EDUCATION
RE: SCHOOL FEES FOR ELIMU SCHOLARS
The above subject matter refers. This is to advise you to notify all schools that have learners under Elimu Scholarship Program that Term I fees for form ones is being processed by the Ministry of Education. As such, no scholar should be turned away on account of non-payment of fees.
The ministry will remit the same soon. Also note that learners under Elimu Scholarship Program should not be charged for any extra levies outside the Gazetted fees.
