Tuinuane,” a new brand initiative from Safaricom, aims to inspire Kenyans to support one another.
Safaricom wants to empower communities, make it simple for students to access educational resources, and introduce cutting-edge goods and services that offer customers value for their money in the spirit of “Tuinuane.”
“Tuinuane is based on the philanthropic attitude that Kenyans are renowned for. The Tuinuane spirit is about each of us finding new motivation to inspire others and do what is right, especially in these challenging times. The Tuinuane spirit represents Safaricom’s desire to collaborate with Kenyans in order to support their objectives and dreams. remarked Safaricom PLC CEO Peter Ndegwa.
The campaign will direct Safaricom’s community outreach through the Ndoto Zetu project of the Safaricom Foundation. Nearly 3 million Kenyans have been reached by Ndoto Zetu since its launch in 2019. Through projects costing Ksh100 million, the Safaricom Foundation hopes to reach an additional 2 million individuals this year.
Kenyans who want to see their community aspirations come true can submit a written request via the website or visit any Safaricom Retail Store and fill out an application for a chance to have their community dream realized.
Safaricom has worked with content producers in the area of education to make it simple and straightforward to get timely, inexpensive content. Among these suggestions are the web-based Safaricom elimu and the SMS-delivered Shupavu 291, both of which cost Ksh4 per day and the Safaricom elimu on the web, which costs Ksh20 for 200mb of data.
Additionally, Safaricom unveiled Tuinuane Bundles, which will provide customers exclusive deals on data, calls, and SMS for Ksh20. These deals feature 1GB of data valid for an hour, limitless calls for an hour, or limitless text messages for a full day. You can access the offers by dialing *444*22# or using the mySafaricom app.
Safaricom has also exhorted Kenyans to use their Bonga Points to buy food and other necessities, thereby helping themselves and others.
We will make other proposals and efforts in keeping with our Tuinuane spirit known in the upcoming weeks and months. This includes our mobile-based investing option, which will enable M-PESA users to invest and earn interest, as well as the M-PESA Junior Account for young Kenyans between the ages of 10 and 18.
