Dear Commissioners,
RE: REGIONAL INTER-PATROL SCOUTS COMPETITIONS, 2023
The Kenya Scouts Association invites all patrols that qualified from the county inter-patrol competitions to this year’s regional inter-patrol scouting competitions.
Regional Inter-Patrol Competitions serve as a platform for Scouts from various counties to come together, compete, foster a sense of unity, and demonstrate their youth program consumption.
The dates for the 2023 Regional Inter-Patrol competitions are as follows:
- Thursday 20th July 2023:-Arrival by 2 pm
- Friday 21st July 2023:-Activity Day
- Saturday, 22nd July 2023:-Activity Day
- Sunday 23rd July 2023:-Closing Ceremony and Departure
We kindly request that you note these dates and plan your patrol’s availability accordingly. You are therefore requested to prepare well for the competition and make sure that the following requirements are met:
1. Scouts and the Scout Leaders MUST be registered members of the Association in 2023. There will be no registration at the venue, and any team not yet registered will not be allowed to compete. All the scouts and scout leaders are to carry their membership cards and a copy of the school registration warrant.
2. Reporting time will be at 2 p.m. on the stated dates.
3. Carry enough food and personal effects to last for the said days.
4. Carry enough materials for the gadgets.
5. Be a patrol of 8 members except for Jasiri Scouts who will be 10
6. Be ready to follow the competition rules and regulations.
7. Uphold discipline throughout the competition period.
8: Girls teams to be accompanied by female teachers/Scout Leaders.
9. Make sure there’s no sharing of tents between male and female Scouts, even at Jasiri level.
10 .The participation fee is Kshs 3,500 per patrol or crew.
11.Brass Band participants will pay participation fees of KES 400 per participant.
