Teacher service commission revealed one of the controversial scoresheet ever for 2021 ahead of July permanent employment Exercise. The commission has stroke again by coming up with 2021 internship employment scoresheet. High number of unemployed registered teachers were not shortlisted for the July exercise but the commission is likely to advertise 6,000 slots for internship program in August. Coming for the interviews the Teacher service commission has to opt to its traditional way of awarding marks to the shortlisted candidates.
In the permanent employment scoresheet applicants in the second class will gunner the same marks of 35 but in the intern recruitment applicants in Second class upper will now score 5 marks more than the one in lower class.
For applicants who graduated in the same year with same academic qualifications either in Diploma or Degree going into internship program they will continue scoring same marks.
After the commission advertised vacancies earlier this month and all unemployed and intern teachers applied for the slots, the merit lists were generated and then sent to the County head quarters whereby the shortlisted candidates are invited for the interviews via short message text by the school heads when and where the interviews will take place. Selection and vetting process will take place between 22nd to 28th July 2021.
To conduct the selection exercise for the advertised vacancies in various institutions the Teacher Service Commission and Boards of Management are given the mandate to take in charge . During the recruitment exercise all the eyes will be on the Selection Panel to show high level of transparency and accountability as prescribed in the public officers Ethics Act and Teacher service commission Code of Conduct and Ethics 2015. Before the commencement of the selection and vetting exercise the School Heads is expected to induct the panel members on the relevant sections of the Act and CORT 2015 .
With covid-19 still hitting hard the TSC County Director MUST ensure containment measures are laid down as per Ministry of Health rules for both panel members and applicants during the recruitment process to avoid spreading of the disease.
