List Of 132 Reshuffled Deputy County Commissioners Ahead Of August Polls 2022

Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has announced the reshuffle of 132 Deputy County Commissioners (DCC) in major changes.

The changes come ahead of major political developments and polls in the August elections

Kibicho announced the changes in a memo to Regional Commissioners dated February 11 and ordered they move immediately.

Khalif Abdulahi was moved to Nakuru West, Fred Sungu (Kiminini), Michael Yator (Changamwe), Meshak Mwangi (Eldas), Alinoor Duba (Bungoma Central), Felix Wafula (Ugunja), Daniel Mwendwa (Lamu East), Hussein Alason (Kisumu Central) and Victor Kamonde (Bomet Central).

Solomon Kiptoo was moved to Soy, Philip Koima (Endebes), John Maina (Githurai), Jeremiah Tumo (Pokot Central), JamesKoskey (Harambee House) and Reuben Kipkech to Msambweni

The changes effected at CS Fred Matiangi’s ministry comes less than six months before the country goes to the August polls.

On numerous occasions, Matiang’i has stated that the government would beef up security in the country during the elections.

“We in the security sector are committed to the Roadmap to a Peaceful 2022 Elections and will walk the talk to ensure its realised.

“Moving forward, National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) will coordinate with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) officials nationwide as they make preparations to deliver elections,” he stated in a past interview.
