Latest List of Top 10 universities in Kenya by uniRank
The University of Nairobi (UoN) has been named the best university in Kenya by uniRank, a worldwide higher education directory and search engine.
Kenyatta University, Strathmore University, United States International University Africa (USIU-Africa), and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology are ranked second, third, fourth, and fifth, respectively.
According to the directory, the ranking is a non-academic league table of the top Kenyan universities based on valid, unbiased, and non-influenceable web metrics provided by independent web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the universities themselves.
Egerton University (sixth), Mount Kenya University (seventh), Moi University (eighth), the Technical University of Kenya (ninth), and the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (tenth) are also among Kenya’s top ten universities.
Strathmore, USIU-Africa, and MKU, which topped the list of the best three private universities in Kenya, are among the private universities that have been named among the finest.
MKU, which has undergone remarkable expansion in recent years, was included among the best universities this year.
According to uniRank, it ranked 63 Kenyan higher education institutions that have been chartered, licensed, or accredited by the relevant Kenyan higher education-related agency.
The institutions must also have offered at least three-year bachelor’s degrees, as well as postgraduate master’s or doctoral degrees, and must have primarily delivered courses in a traditional, non-distance education format.
