KNEC KCSE 2021/2022 release day and dates;Guidelines how to check

The Kenya National Examination Council and the Ministry of Education cabinet secretary George Magoha has provided the latest information on when the KCSE 2021/2022 examination results would be issued (KNEC).

Below is an SMS code that can be used to check exam results.

KCSE 2021/2022

KCSE 2021/2022 examination started on 28th February 2022 with practicals subjects and ended on 1st April 2022 with Physics practicals.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) registered 831,026 candidates for the 2021 KCSE exams.

The 2021 KCSE candidature recorded a larger population as compared to last year. In 2020, 752,602 candidates were registered for the examinations.

78,424 more candidates sat the examinations this year and therefore recording a 10.42% increase.

When will KCSE 2021/2022 results be released?

According to the ministry of education cabinet secretary, Prof. George Magoha, KCSE 2021/2022 results will be released before 25th April 2022 (when schools will re-open). He said this while commissioning CBC classrooms at Machakos Boys High School.

As of publishing this post, the marking of KCSE examinations has been concluded.

Checking of Exam Results

KCSE 2021 candidates can check their exams results by sending their index to SMS 20076. The results will only be available once they have officially been released by education CS George Magoha.

The SMS costs Kenya Shillings 20.00 on Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom networks.

School and candidates’ performance updates will be provided after the exam are out.

How to Check KCSE Results 2020/2021 Online

To check your 2021 /2022 KNEC KCSE results online, go to the KNEC website: http://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/ and enter your Index number.

To use this method to check 2021/2022 results you only need to remember your index number and access your mobile phone or computer Here is the procedure

  • Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
  • Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it
  • Select the year you sat for the Exams
  • Enter your Index number.
  • Finally click the Submit button.
  • Your KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.
