The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) announced a massive intern hiring initiative for the classes of 2023–2024.
Fresh college graduates were asked to apply for internship positions across 25 disciplines by KenGen in an advertisement that appeared in local dailies on Tuesday, January 11.
Before January 17, at midnight, graduates were urged to submit their applications.
KenGen is seeking to recruit qualified and result-oriented individuals as interns. “Interested candidates are required to submit their applications online through our career portal,” the advert read in part.
KenGen is looking to hire civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers as well as librarians, communication officers, accountants, and legal officers.
Technicians, hydrologists, geologists, property officers, and information and communications technology (ICT) officers are among the professions that offer internship opportunities.
The company insisted that it was a fair employer and issued a warning that anyone found canvassing, fabricating, or misrepresenting their qualifications would be disqualified.
