President Uhuru Kenyatta received the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examination results for the year 2021 from Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha today at State House in Nairobi.
President Kenyatta praised the Ministry of Education and the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) for conducting credible national tests that revealed great development in day and sub-county schools.
More resources should be sent to subcounties and day schools, according to the President, because they are less taxing on parents.
President Kenyatta stated that day schools are less of a burden on parents and that they are performing well.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i, Education Principal Secretary Dr. Julius Juan, Teachers Service Commission CEO Nancy Macharia, KNEC Chairman John Onsati, and the council’s Chief Executive Officer David Njeng’ere were also in attendance at the meeting.
