School History and Basic Information
Kanga High School was founded in 1985 by the Late Internal Security Permanent Secretary Hezekiah Oyugi. When it started, the school had no structures, which led them to be housed at St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Rapogi.
In 1989, the school got its first bus via a donation from Mr. Oyugi. Later in 1988, the school sat for their first Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) examinations, where the school emerged position six nationally.
The school is famous for its excellent performance in Mathematics and Physics.

Kanga High School is among the top performing schools in the country. In the 2021 KCSE examinations, the school recorded a mean score of 9.2445 which is a B (plain). Out of the 409 candidates who sat the examinations, 374 attained the direct university entry grade.
