The Teachers Service Commission on January 19th declared 2,945 vacancies to replace teachers exiting service through natural attrition i.e. 2,053 posts for primary schools and 892 posts for secondary schools. The teachers recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.
Eligibility
To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following basic requirements:
i) Be a Kenyan citizen;
ii) Must be a holder of a P1 certificate in the case of primary schools and a minimum
of a diploma in education in the case of secondary schools;
iii) Must be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission.
Currently Many unemployed graduate teachers are busy making applications for the few advertised slots to beat the Monday 1st February 2022 deadline.
After making applications the next step will be to attend scheduled interviews, Before attending the interview sessions its prudent to have a good mastery of the 2 teaching subjects, a good track record in co-curricular activities will make one stand a better chance of securing the competitive vacancies.
Applicants should also ensure they have the following important documents before attending the interviews.
Remember to carry original copies and photocopies of the documents listed below during the interview day.
1). Your National Identity card, ID; both Original and copy.
2). Two passport size photographs
3). Academic certificates (University/ College, KCPE and KCSE) and testimonials; Both copies and originals.
4). Official academic transcripts; both copies and originals
5). TSC registration Certificate; Both originals and copies. If this is not available then provide proof that the registration process has been initiated.
6). Kenya Revenue Authority, KRA, PIN certificate.
7). Bank plate for your bank account.
8).Duly filled pay point forms. These can be obtained at the bank.
9). GP69 Medical examination form. This should be filled by a certified Doctor at a Government Hospital.
10). National Hospital Insurance Fund, NHIF, card; Both original and copy.
11).Copy of National Council of Persons With Disability (NCPWD Card)- where applicable.
12). Primary and Secondary School Leaving Certificates.
13).A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
14). Co- curricular activities Certificates.
15). Any other relevant certificates.
N/B:Make sure you acquire the above mentioned documents early to avoid last minute rush.
