All teachers are encouraged to submit an application in order to be considered for admission to Teacher Training Colleges for the purpose of advancing from the Certificate in Early Childhood Teacher Education (CECTE) and Primary Teacher Education (PTE) to the Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) and the Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE), respectively.
For the qualified teachers in the aforementioned categories who are not yet employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), county governments, or private sector, this is an upgrading program.
