The KCPE 2022 candidates have been distributed to various secondary schools. The exercise was based on merit or performance, according to the ministry of education. The student’s educational background will be crucial. Kenyan secondary schools are divided into four categories:

  • National Schools
  • Extra County School
  • County Schools
  • Sub-county schools

Form one 2022 selection has already been completed for KCPE 2021 applicants who scored above 400 marks. Those enrolling in one of the 136 national schools will be part of this cohort. 35 of the 136 national schools are secondary schools for special education students.

Thousands of candidates who did not score 400 or more in this year’s placement are expected to enroll in national institutions, which have a capacity of over 30,000 pupils.
