In the recent nationwide wave of teacher transfers, he took over from Mr. Richard Keindiywo, who was transferred to Chepteya High School.

Mr. Masese will now relocate to Itierio High school in Kisii South  to replace Mr. Peter Ratori, who has been transferred to Sori Secondary school in Migori County.

He confirmed to the media  that he received the second letter from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) soon after settling in his current station.

When asked if he felt comfortable at the current school, he responded that he was willing to work at any station based on the directions that were given to him by TSC.

“We are civil servants who can report and work wherever and whenever duty calls,” he stated “.

He said that his initial priority at the new station would be to learn as much as possible about his environment before he began to set any goals.

“I don’t want to walk alone but I want to work and walk with the entire school fraternity because education success is a collective responsibility,” he said.

The chairman of the school’s Board of Management, Fr. Francis Mose, stated that he was aware of the two transfer letters, but he assuaged the parents’ concerns by assuring them that he had informed the TSC office in the county about the transfer mishap.

In terms of education, the institution is considered to be a “sleeping academic behemoth” in Kisii County.

With 330 candidates, the school had a mean score of 4.6 in the 2022 Kenya Secondary School Certificate of Education (KCSE) examinations.

Among these, 17 received C+ grades, allowing them to enter university directly, while 45 and 59 received C and C- grades, respectively.
