Teachers Service Commission has come up with the most controversial score sheet ever in this July mass recruitment . In the recently reveled score sheet by Tsc, the intern teachers have an advantage of 30 marks over the rest .This is a big blow to those teachers who do not have internship .Not forgetting teachers who left for well paying jobs who normally come back with a big mark advantage. Surprisingly, majority of the vacancies advertised in most schools involves subject combinations that already have an active intern teachers.
If this year score sheet is anything to go by then TSC intends to confirm the current intern teachers in the same stations. This is aimed at avoiding creating teacher vacuum in those schools if the intern teacher secure job elsewhere. Most schools heads might opt to forward this teachers to Tsc for permanent and pensionable employment without taking them through interviews.
The Teachers’ Service Commission in Kenya recently announced the vacancies for employment of 1,000 teachers into primary schools, another 1,000 teachers teaching in primary schools to be promoted into secondary school and 4,000 teachers to be employed in the secondary school section to curb the shortage occasioned by the 100% transition of learners from primary schools.
