The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) modified the Hardship Allowance to help and motivate teachers in specific grades and scales in light of these difficulties.
The TSC Hardship Allowance is a monetary reward created to lessen the additional difficulties experienced by teachers working in particular contexts or circumstances that can be extremely difficult.
The purpose of this allowance is to honor the commitment and dedication of the educators who chose to work in these tough conditions.
Teachers in Grade D5 receive the highest Hardship Allowance, which is Ksh. 38,100. A Hardship Allowance of Ksh 31,500 is also available to teachers in Grades D3 and D4.
Teachers in Grade C5 are entitled to a Hardship Allowance of Sh. 17,100, whereas Teachers in Grades D1 and D2 are given a sizeable Hardship Allowance of Sh. 27,300.
The Hardship Allowance for Grade C4 teachers is Ksh14,650. A Hardship Allowance of Sh. 12,300 is available to teachers in Grade C3.
Teachers in Grade C1 would get a Hardship Allowance of Ksh. 8,200, while those in Grade C2 will get Sh.10,900.
The Hardship Allowance for Grade B5 Teachers is $6,600.
