The Kenya Medical Training College provides qualified learners with the opportunity to train in medical courses and pursue their life goals. It has 68 campuses spread across the country, giving students the choice of selecting their preferred college based on location.
The good news is that KMTC’s administration has established an online platform (a student portal) that strongly connects students to the administration. The following things are easily accomplished through the KMTC student portal:
- Download KMTC admission letter
- Apply for different courses
- Check fee payments
- Apply for scholarships
All applications are made ONLINE with an application fee of Ksh. 2022 payable via MPESA pay bill No. 964150 following the procedure outlined on the KMTC

Creating an online student portal or account is easy. You only need to follow these steps, but first you must have a valid email
- Log to KMTC website www.kmtc.ac.ke
- On the menu, click on the PORTAL menu item, the last item on the right side
- You will land on the online registration portal http://kmtc.ac.ke/portal
- If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password
- If you don’t have an account, click on the (Have no account? Register) below the log in form.
- This will land you to creating account form
- Enter your valid email and password
- Click on Create Account Button
- An email will be sent to your email address with a link to verify your account.
- Open your email and Click on the email link
- You will be redirected to KMTC portal.
- Fill in your personal information on the account creation form provided
- Click on the register button
- You will be provide you with a form to confirm your data
- Check information accuracy
- Click save changes.
How to apply online for KMTC course
Before applying for course its good to know courses level of course offers and minimum required mean grade
Course duration: Certificate Courses: 2 Years except for Community Health Nursing which takes 2 1/2 years
Course duration: Diploma Courses: 3 Years except for Community Health Nursing which takes 3 1/2 years
Mean Grade: Diploma Courses C (Plain) and above, Certificate courses a C- (Minus) and above then specific cluster subjects as described for each course
Now that you’ve known what it entails to apply for a medical course in KMTC, here is the process for online course application;
- On the left side bar, click on the applications
- From the drop down menu, click apply
- You will be directed to option 1 course selection
- Select the Option 1 course level (Diploma or Certificate)
- Click Search
- A form will appear within the page
- Select your desire course
- Fill in the form details as guided by the from labels
- Make sure that all fields are filled
- Click on submit application
- You will be redirected to Option 2 Form
- Select the course level (Diploma or Certificate)
- Click Search
- A form will appear within the page
- Select your desired option 2 course
